APRIL 7-8, 2008

[This is an email from the University of Lublin. If you are interested, contact Bob Szwajkos at]

Maybe we may find a lawyer that would like to come to or conference that will be held in Lublin April 7-8, 2008. The topic will be Public Interest Law and Legal Education. We will have couple of panels. And what may be the most interesting for you, we will have some sessions in English. We still are looking for good speakers for some of the sessions:
1) The lawyer's responsibility to act in the Public Interest and/or 2) legal education in the US and possible developments and/or 3) US Continuing legal education system. We are quite flexible about that. We will have some representatives from Poland, Europe, China and US. We are collecting speakers now and will confirm everything by the end of January. We have no funds to pay for the airfare but we will manage to put you in the University Professors hotel, organize some leisure time activities and afterwards publish the papers in the Review of Comparative Law symposium Issue.

The conference is put together by Faculty of Law, Center for advancing Legal Skills and our Rule of Law Institute Foundation.

The Jagiellonian Law Society is considering hosting a table at this year's Kosciuszko Foundation Annual Dinner and Ball held at the New York Waldorf Astoria. The cost will be $250.00 per person.

Kindly advise me if you would be interested in attending. No commitment is necessary at this time; I am just trying to gauge interest.
